Check out our Iona Football Club Home Training Program.

Iona Football Club is a community football club based at St Columba Anglican School and is open to all members of the community.

In 2021 Iona Football Club enters its fourth season and will once again participate in the Football Mid North Coast competitions with teams ranging in age from U6 to U16.

Information regarding when the season commences, play during school holidays, final series etc can be found on the FMNC Season Calendar. Please click on link at the bottom of this page.

Iona Football Club prides itself on providing a professional, friendly, encouraging learning environment particularly suited to helping junior players reach their full potential as footballers.

In 2020 Iona FC boasted over 300 players and 30 teams. We are very proud of the accomplishments of our competitive teams. In a season where Champions were not declared or Grand finals held our U14s finished 1st for the second year in a row, the U13s had the perfect season 14 wins from 14 matches, and our U12 Wanderers finished in equal first place.

In 2021 we will field 38 teams 28 mixed and 10 female only, almost 400 players, which represents a 25% increase in registrations from 2020. Whilst growth brings challenges, we remain committed to continuing the high standards of on-field performance and off-field behavior that have been established during our short history.

In 2021 Iona FC will enter the FMNC Friday night U16s competition for the first time. After two exceptional seasons where they suffered one loss, our eldest group of players (U15s) will play in the FMNC U16 North competition this season and will play their home matches at Findlay Park No 2. We are indebted to Port Saints for generously allowing us to use their home ground.

U6 to U11 miniroos will continue to play their home matches at St Columba Anglican School – Iona Ave Port Macquarie.

U12, U13 & U14 teams play on the “back oval” of St Columba Anglican school. Access to this field is via the main entrance off Major Innes road.

Players born in 2016 who turn 5 years of age in 2021 are eligible to register and Iona FC will enter teams in the following;

  2. All girls teams in Ages U6, U7, U8, U9,U10, U11/12
