NET SET GO
Iona Netball encourages boys and girls to play netball.
Players aged 6 years old (Kindergarten) and 7 years old (Year 1) are invited to join the NET program. This is a fun 10-week introduction to Netball commencing in Term 2. Your player will participate in fun games and activities to introduce them to fundamental skills used in netball. Players register directly with Hastings Valley Netball Association (HVNA) for this program.
The SET GO program is an introduction to netball for players aged 8 and 9 years old with modified rules. It focuses on refining fundamental motor skills and introducing modified netball matches. During their second year of SET (return SET) the focus is on developing netball specific skills through modified netball matches.
Please familiarise yourself with the following Netball NSW documents regarding rule and game modifications. Remember, it’s a chance for your children to learn the netball basics, get outside and make some friends. For a lot of kids, this is the first time they’ll pick up a netball or chuck on a bib. It’s a learning experience, but mostly it should be a lot of fun.
